Dr. Norbert J. Delatte, Jr., P.E., is the M.R. Lohmann Endowed Professor of Engineering and the Head of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Oklahoma State University. He is the former Chair of TRB Committee AFN20 Properties of Concrete and AKM60 Properties of Concrete and Constituent Materials. He is the former Chair of ACI Committee 325 Concrete Pavements and of Committee 327 Roller Compacted Concrete Pavements and of ACI S803 Faculty Network, current Chair of ACI 522 Pervious Concrete, and a member of several other ACI Committees. Dr. Delatte is the author of Beyond Failure: Forensic Case Studies for Civil Engineers (ASCE Press, 2009) and Concrete Pavement Design, Construction, and Performance, 2nd Edition (Taylor and Francis, 2014). In addition, he is the Editor of ASCE’s Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities. Dr. Delatte is a registered professional engineer in the States of Oklahoma, Ohio, and Alabama and in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Dr. Violetta Kytinou is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering at Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh). Her research focuses on non-conventional reinforcement methods for reinforced concrete, as well as the strengthening and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures using fiber reinforced polymers (FRPs). Dr. Kytinou also investigates damage indices in reinforced concrete through the use of intelligent systems and finite element analysis. She has been actively involved in numerous research projects, boasts significant international experience, and has published various research papers and participated in international conferences. Additionally, Dr. Kytinou serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several peer-reviewed journals, and she has been recognized with multiple academic awards and scholarships.

Dr. Mohammadmehdi Danesh is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hartford, specializing in Sustainable Design, Building Science, and Resilient Buildings. His research focuses on optimizing energy performance in high-rise buildings, particularly through the use of Double Skin Façade and Building Information Modeling. Dr. Danesh has published extensively in his field, contributing to both academia and practical applications. He is proficient in various energy simulation and sustainable design tools, and his work has been presented at numerous conferences across the U.S.

He is a Senior Researcher, assigned to the Environmental Planning and Conservation Program of the Centro de InvestigacionesBiológicas del Noroeste S.C. (CIBNOR) where he obtained his Ph.D. in the Use, Management and Preservation of Natural Resources, specializing in Ecology, in 2003. He graduated as a Hydrologist engineer and Master of Engineering from the Russian State Institute of Hydrometeorology in St. Petersburg, Russia, graduating with honors from this institute in 1994. He is the author and co-author of 43 scientific publications, and 15 book chapterson various topics such as extreme events, drought and floods. He has supervised four Ph.D. theses, eleven M.Sc. theses and ten B.Sc. theses. He was an honorary member of the commission of experts on climate change, natural phenomena and risk prevention in 2013 and 2014, and of the commission of experts on earth sciences in 2012, 2014 and 2017 of CONACYT; of the Binational Consortium for Regional Scientific Development and Innovation with the University of Arizona, USA and National Council for the Humanities Science and Technology (CONAHCYT)of Mexico in 2014. At the invitation of SEMARNAT he was an honorary member of the evaluating jury to choose the Ecological Merit Award 2016, 2017 and 2018. He was a founding member of the Network of Disasters Associated to Hydrometeorological and Climatic Phenomena of CONAHCYT. He has been invited reviewer of scientific articles for different journals of national and international circulation. He is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers since 2001. His areas of interest are hydroclimatology, environmental impact and climate variability.

His honors include the Editor of engineering journals in prestigious Publications, the holder of gold, silver and bronze medals from the World Invention Competition and the keynote speaker of conferences and the Top Scientist in 2024. He is the author of numerous articles, books and translators. He worked as a project consultant in engineering projects, which were industrial and academic.
